Ingredients:
• Phyllo dough (store-bought, thawed if frozen) – 8-10 sheets
• Butter (unsalted, melted) – ½ cup
• Ground cinnamon – 2 teaspoons
• Brown sugar (or granulated sugar) – 3 tablespoons
• Chopped nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or almonds) – ½ cup (optional, for texture)
• Honey (or maple syrup) – 2 tablespoons (for drizzling after baking)
• Powdered sugar – for dusting (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Phyllo Sheets:
• Lay out your phyllo dough on a clean, flat surface and cover it with a slightly damp towel to prevent it from drying out.
2. Mix the Filling:
• In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped nuts (if using). Set aside.
3. Layer the Phyllo Dough:
• Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter.
• Add another sheet on top, brushing again with butter. Repeat until you’ve layered 4 sheets.
4. Add the Filling:
• Sprinkle a thin layer of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top layer of phyllo.
5. Roll It Up:
• Gently roll the layered phyllo into a tight log, starting from one end.
• Brush the outside of the roll with more melted butter.
6. Slice the Rolls:
• Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 1.5-inch pieces.
7. Air Fry the Treats:
• Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
• Place the rolls in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not touching.
• Air fry for 6-8 minutes or until golden and crisp.
8. Finish with Honey:
• Drizzle the hot rolls with honey or syrup as soon as they come out of the air fryer.
9. Serve and Enjoy:
• Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.
Let me know how they turn out or if you need adjustments!
